Family Ties

How beautiful is this family?! And if you don’t believe just how small this world is… their family is family to ours! We have been reunited after more than twenty years apart. The most amazing part – we discovered that we all have lived not 5 miles from each other for the past few years! How does that happen?!? We have probably passed each other in stores, dined in the same restaurants and maybe even cut each other off in Atlanta rush hour traffic… but I digress… 🙂

We had this shoot on probably the coldest day of Atlanta Fall 2010… which is saying a lot because we’ve had one of the most wonderfully colorful, temperate, and longest autumn seasons that I can remember since moving here. It worked out well though because everyone could cuddle together to stay warm and it translated into how close this family unit is.

This time of year reminds us to celebrate family and friendships and to be grateful for all that we have in our lives and our long-lost cousins are just another reason for our family to be thankful this holiday season and forever more.

Believe — Then just do it!
