Every Day Photo Tips: Capturing Great First Day Of School Pix!

Andria Lavine Photography - photo tips - first day of school - photo

We all about to trade-in our family getaways and relaxed schedules for overlapping calendar events, homework, and extra-curricular activities. But before hustling off to carpools and bus stops, we just have to capture a couple cute snapshots of our kiddos freshly dressed in their back to school best! Here are a few quick tips on how to do it…

1) Choose the location. Pick a spot with few background distraction & as clutter-free as possible.

2) “Good light”! Get the kids together and go outside. If you have to take those First Day photos inside, pick a place with lots of window light. Try to avoid using your flash… with First Day jitters, you’ll likely end up with blurry streaks of your kids!

3) Permission to act natural! We all know kids can be hard to wrangle for the camera, so why not just give them permission to be themselves? Since you know your kids best, try to anticipate when their cute little expressions will shine through and “snap”! Nailed it!
